I'mma start off and say that the first time I heard about Art & Bonding was when I came across one of their Instagram ads in February 2019. I thought it was a really cool concept to express yourself while bonding with others. Heads up, I am NOT good in painting whatsoever (my portrait of you would be a stick figure with a smiley face) but I've always found painting as a form of therapy.
Fast forward to September 2020, I wanted to try new things with my partner and Art & Bonding quickly came to me. It's definitely a unique and fun date idea for couples. I would highly recommend it as a 3rd date too. It's such a great way to bond and the fact that they give you wine, really allows you to let loose so don't worry if you're not a great painter like me. Art & Bonding assures that you do not need art skills to join, just come in and enjoy good conversation over wine while you express yourself through art. I love how Art & Bonding provides a weekly AND monthly schedule on their events. They actually showcase the painting you'll be attempting and this session quickly caught my eye as it was made for Couples Date Night!

I found this painting really unique and truly perfect for a date night. We're meant to take half of the painting, when you're done, simply joined your pieces together and BOOM. Oh the laughs me and bae would have if mine came out....crappy! Nevertheless, still fun!

As we walk in, we're faced with this huge wall of beautiful pieces and maybe one day once we're seasoned pros, our work might be up there muahaha, #GOALS. Upon entering the art studio, the entire place just encourages you to be creative. Greeted by our instructor and handed our aprons, we were directed to our cute little corner. Both my partner and I got a lot more comfortable once we realised our instructor was to take us step by step through the entire painting.

So with every session, you get 1 glass of wine (red or white) and of course my partner and I had to pull up with our own bottle, no corkage fee WASSUP immediately scores brownie points so bring 2 bottles if you must, no charge! P.S: If you come in a group of 5 people, you get to enjoy an additional free bottle of wine! CHEERS.

After a few strokes on our canvas, we head to the bar to get our glasses of wine and dive right into becoming Picasso. Our instructor also encourages us to paint on our partner's canvas so don't just limit yourself to painting your side of the masterpiece, work together and have fun!

I gotta say, this session is really worth the entire 2-3 hours especially if you want to spend some good quality time with your partner. I truly appreciate the hospitality and patience from our instructor (scroll down to see what really went down)

All in all, my experience with Art & Bonding was truly an amazing & unforgettable experience! 11/10 and would definitely do a session every 1/2 months as a date activity with my bae. Oh and in the light of EMCO, Art & Bonding also provides Home Bonding Art Kits and can be purchased via online: https://www.artandbonding.com/find-events This is so great to do while you're at home, with your family, partner or housemates!
However, please take note that if you've already purchased a seat to a class during EMCO, Art & Bonding will reschedule your session after the craziness has been lifted. Take care, stay safe and get creative! xx
